Thankful Three

Being it is the season of giving thanks and all, I thought it would be a good idea if we focus on being thankful for the rest of 2012. Each week, we will list who and what we are thankful for, and I hope you will join us!

It’s a given, but I am truly thankful for my husband! He works his ass off, away from his family in a high-stress job, for more than half the year, so that we can live comfortably and have nice things. He is both my partner and best friend. He is a wonderful father to our five children and puts up with me, even when I’m acting crazy and moody. Which is probably all the time.

I’m thankful for the opportunity to vote. While the election may or may not have turned out the way I hoped, I am still honored to be able to have a say for our country.

I am also thankful for coffee. Yes, coffee. We are going on week two of a sick, grumpy, clingy baby suffering from a double ear infection. Then we threw in another pukey-sick child earlier this week. Oh, the life of a momma. I love it. But I love it even more with coffee.

What are you thankful for this week? Please share!

  1. I am also doing the 30 day month of November “thankful” challenge, but since you said you are lonely and want some posts on our Thankful Three, I will contribute. 😉
1~ Of corse I am thankful for my children. Somedays they drive me up the wall, but for the MOST part, they are great kids and I am excited to see the wonderful people they grow up to be.
2~ I am thankful for my fiance Joshua. He works VERY hard to support our family not only financially, but in every way possible. He is not my childrens biological father, but has been their father figure for 7 yrs, (they are 9 and 10)
and he loves them as their own.
3~I am thankful for my family. I am lucky to have a large one, and I love each and everyone of them…♥

  2. I am thankful for my husband. Like everyone else in the ROW community, he works hard to support our family. He leaves us for half a year, working through blistering heat and beyond freezing cold to make sure we want for nothing. He took on two children when he didn’t have to without hesitation. He is my best friend and then some!
I am thankful for my kids. They may be a pain at times, but no one can make me smile, laugh, cry or beam with pride quite like them! And it doesn’t hurt that they do the dishes!
Last, but not least, I am thankful for my life, good times and bad. Without my ups and downs, I wouldn’t have the first two! I wouldn’t have the appreciation for the things I have or the people in my life. So, no matter how hard it was, is, or will be, it’s always worth being thankful for.
