Favorite Football Foods- SCORE!

If your oilfield man is anything like mine we live, eat, sleep, and breathe football in our home from August to February. Living in Colorado, we obviously bleed blue and orange, but on Saturdays we are a household full of Peanut Heads!  Football, in a way, brings our little oilfield family together; everyone has their team apparel, the house has tidbits of tacky fan décor, and best of all we all gather in the front room to jump, shout, and eat entirely too many calories! One of my very favorite parts about football season actually is all the cooking. I love to make homemade dips, appetizers, and finger foods. For my oilfield man, hot sauce seems to be a food group all by itself, so these spicy little buffalo snacks are a definite way to get right to his heart thru his tummy! If your oilfield guy likes spicy, give them a try! You can even make extras, freeze them and send them in a Ziploc bag to the rig.

What is your family’s favorite football or game time snacks in your homes?

Buffalo Ranch Chicken Bites

1 cup finely diced cooked chicken breast

4 oz cream cheese, softened

¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 Tbsp hot sauce

2 Tbsp ranch dressing

1 lb frozen bread dough, thawed

Combine all ingredients except bread dough in a bowl.  Divide dough into 4 and roll out into about 10 x4 rectangles. Spread ¼ chicken mix on bottom part of the bread, roll up into a log, cut into pieces about 1”. Place on lined baking sheet, cover and let rest for about 30 minutes. I make one log, then set tit to rest while I make the next one.  Bake in 400 degree oven 7-10 minutes or until the tops are lightly browned and filling is heated through.
