Mid-Week Mood Booster

I’ve been a mom with a career and a mom who stayed home to raise kids. I’ve pulled my hair out over fussy babies and work deadlines. No matter which type of mom you are, there are just days that seem to drag and leave you feeling completely drained. I’ve had several of those days in the last week, which means I have turned to Pinterest to find things that make me laugh and restore my soul. I’m going to share some of my favorites and hope that it helps to cheer up anyone else in the same boat. If you are having a rough time with work, children, marriage, distance, etc., settle in and prepare to smile.

Emma Stone and Jimmy Fallon’s lip sync battle. Emma Stone is one of my all time favorite actresses and I adore Jimmy Fallon, so the two of them together makes my heart happy. If you have enough time, check out some of the other YouTube videos posted by The Tonight Show. You’ll be laughing for hours.

This pin makes me realize that my day hasn’t been so bad. Things could always be worse, so be thankful for where you are right now.

I love Tom Hiddleston. That accent, those eyes, that British politeness. This pin is like a dream come true and makes me smile. Seriously, Tom. I’ll be your damsel in distress anytime.  (Here’s another British Tom for your viewing pleasure.)

I’m a religious woman, so when times get distressing, I turn to scripture and religious sayings. This pin is one of my favorites. It is comforting to know that someone else has control and that He will always be by my side.

I love reading the texts from dog pins. I always picture one of my crazy dogs getting a hold of a cell phone and trying to text. Maybe I’m easily amused, but it always makes me chuckle.

This pin right here is highly accurate and makes me giggle.

If you are having a bad day or just needed something to get you over that mid-week slump, I hope these links have helped. It may sound cliche, but I have always believed that laughter is truly the best medicine.

How do you lift your spirits when you’ve had a bad day/week/whatever? Post any links and pins in the comments below! Let’s lift each other up!
